Get Hands On Experience With New Classroom Technologies At Edutech 2013

Todays students use technology every hour of every day. Is it any surprise that they find a classroom with interactive presentation equipment more engaging? A survey by Cengage Learning/Eduventures administered to 751 students and 201 instructors across the United States, found the following key numbers:

67% of students reported they preferred courses that use a great deal of technology, a 9% increase from the previous year.
79% of instructors and 86% of students have seen the average level of engagement improve over the last year as they have increased their use of digital educational tools.
58% of instructors said they prefer teaching courses that use a great deal of technology, a 10% increase from 2009.
HB Communications, Inc. of North Haven, CT is hosting an open house for K-12 educators, and their administrators, funders, and organizational supporters, to demonstrate whats new in classroom technology. Education technology specialists will show how to build a climate of success in your school district by incorporating the best audio visual and communication technology into your schools.

Edutech 2013 will be held at HB Communications, Inc. headquarters in North Haven, CT, on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM. Teachers, administrators, superintendents, board of education members, education grant writers and funders, and anyone working in the K-12 educational field, are invited to stop by for an hour, or stay for the whole day. The event is free and light refreshments will be served.
