The Chef's Academy Hosts Kitchen Skills Series: Baking With Chef Mitch Samples

The Chef's Academy (http://www.thechefsacademy.com), the Culinary Division of Harrison College, a 110-year-old, nationally accredited institution that offers 40 degree programs in five schools of study, has announced it will offer a two-day baking class on Tuesday, May 7 and Wednesday, May 8 as part of the institution's Kitchen Skills Series. The class, which will be taught by Chef Instructor Mitch Samples, will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at The Chef's Academy in Morrisville, located at 2001 Carrington Mill Blvd.

During the two-day course, participants will be immersed in the art of bread making, learn proper mixing, fermentation, shaping, proofing, scoring and baking techniques for a variety of breads, biscuits and muffins. Upon completion of the course, attendees will not only leave with the knowledge and confidence to successfully bake at home, but will also take home essential baking tools as well, including a professional rolling pin, bread lame, apron, recipe guide, and a certificate of completion. This baking course marks The Chef's Academy's second Kitchen Skills series this year. The first was a three-part community course which walked participants through kitchen basics, cooking methods and essentials, and recipe interpretation.
