More Fun with the STS Online Course on Project Management

The e-learning course "PM Fundamentals" is the ideal learning tool for anyone who will contribute to or manage a project. It gives students, project team members, and future project managers the ability to acquire essential knowledge on project management and to become familiar with common practices, processes, and tools. With this course, the self-directed acquisition of project management knowledge is even more fun thanks to videos, illustrations, and interactivity.

The content of this course takes into account widely acknowledged best practices of project management. All of the lessons have been adapted to recent changes in project management standards. They correspond to the new edition of the PMBOK Guide as well as to the requirements of the International Project Management Association (IPMA) framework.

"Learning must also be fun," says Patrick Lehmann, senior project manager and instructional designer at STS. "Therefore, further emphasis has been given to a better media mix by expressing parts of the content through animations and video-examples as well as illustrating graphs and pictures". Refined illustrations, short animated introductions, and hundreds of exercises make the online course a unique learning experience - far beyond text-heavy books. 37 Crisis Management and Crisis Leadership Training and Education Tutorials Released

Effective crisis management and crisis leadership skills or ability are learnt and not naturally occurring for senior executives says Tony Ridley when asked about the release of the new 37 Crisis Management and Crisis Leadership Training and Education Tutorials available as online videos.

With the new release of a full education training and tutorial video series comes the opportunity for business leaders and executives to develop superior crisis management skills and become leaders during emergency and crisis events. For those with experience or formal training, it also represents an opportunity to validate their experience and share direct access via online video consultation with an experienced international crisis management professional.

A time of crisis is not a time to be learning new skills or referring to manuals. Decision making and systems must be developed prior to such challenges with even the most experienced crisis managers developing and refining those skills frequently noted Tony Ridley, creator and editor of the first 37 crisis management and crisis leadership training video tutorials. Crisis leadership is significantly more advanced than crisis management and can only be developed with professional mentoring and guidance to ensure consistent results, regardless of the triggers or events Tony concluded.

Created with collaboration and support from fellow crisis management professionals and colleagues at MRD, a professional services and consulting company, this first series is the start of an international campaign to increase the capacity and resources of senior executives globally. They can be found at www.crisismanagement.tony-ridley.com

The training series includes:

With finance, marketing, administration and management heavily emphasized in traditional management education curriculum, MRD is increasingly receiving requests for more targeted education and development in the area of crisis, leadership and priority decision making. To meet that need and support the demand, the are rolling out a range of education and training support products and services.

About Tony Ridley

An international crisis management and leadership professional with many years of experience with corporate crisis events ranging from product recalls, kidnappings, natural disasters, terrorist attacks, political unrest and employee riots. Tony has also trained and educated hundreds of managers in effective crisis management, crisis leadership and priority decision making.
